Interview: ISAG x Ifolor AG

Interviewee: Andreas Schmidt, Head of Quality Management Systems at ifolor AG
Date / Place: June 23, 2022 / Kreuzlingen, Switzerland

Which ISAG product would you like to highlight?

Mr. Schmidt: We don't want to highlight a single product but speak about our experience with the complete ISAG line-up for producing photo books on silver halide paper consisting of the photo exposure systems widePrint / fastPrint, the paper processors VSP 25-12 / VSP 50 and the layflat book binding equipment fastBlock / fastBooklet.

Please name the problem you wanted to solve with our products.

Mr. Schmidt: We actually did not face a real problem. Following our decision to start inhouse production of layflat photo books on silver halide paper we implemented the first production line together with ISAG to supply high-quality layflat photo books on silver halide paper to our countries of delivery, including Scandinavia. fastBlock enables us to add front-end paper to the book block so that the final book looks excellently made. After implementing the first production line successfully, we launched layflat photo booklets on silver halide paper in 13x13 cm as entry-level product to attract a new target group.

ISAG: How do ISAG products differ from others?

Mr. Schmidt: ISAG offers all-in-one solutions of stand-alone hardware and modular systems geared to each other. Everything is available from one source. Dealing with only one supplier facilitates our processes and means less effort unlike dealing with multiple suppliers.
