The collaboration between Imaging Solutions AG and Printfamily network companies Pinguin Druck and Dürmeyer demonstrates how specific requirements can be turned into a tailor-made, future-proof solution. The collaboration began pragmatically: Dürmeyer initially relied on used ISAG machines that were purchased directly from the market. However, it quickly became clear that a specific application - the lamination of business cards in combination with the production of LayFlat products - required significantly higher automation and process reliability.

Close coordination as the key

In order to understand the requirements precisely, the specialist departments worked closely together over a long period of time. Together, we analyzed materials, production steps, and target speeds. The optimal solution was defined step by step in intensive tests with customer-specific substrates.

The solution: fastBook Professional Gen. 2 – customized

The decision was ultimately made in favor of our fastBook Professional Gen. 2, which we modified and optimized specifically for Dürmeyer's special requirements. The result is a solution that significantly increases both flexibility and efficiency in production.

Successful start to productive operation

The machine was installed and commissioned at the beginning of the year, and the teams at Pinguin Druck and Dürmeyer received comprehensive training. Since then, production in Hamburg has been running smoothly, automatically, and precisely tailored to the company's needs.
